He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Nickey and Ruth Nickey (Turner). He is survived by: his wife Mary A. Nickey of Carlisle; his son William E. Nickey, Jr. (Elizabeth) of Boiling Springs; his stepdaughter Tonia Barclay (Scott Morris) of Red Lion; his granddaughter Sophia Nickey; and his siblings, Harvey Nickey, Jr. (Ann) of West Virginia, Marie Minter of Florida, Pauline Fickes of Newville, Barbara Peterson of Louisiana and Edward Nickey of Louisiana. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hoffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 2020 West Trindle Road Carlisle, PA 17013 to assist with the funeral costs.
