It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Gunsallus (Castanea, Pennsylvania), born in Orviston, Pennsylvania, who passed away on October 6, 2019, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Wesley Armstrong and Tillie May Spangler Gunsullas; his wife Peggy L. Conklin Gunsallus; his siblings, Francis, Arlington, Russell, Robert Gunsallus, Garnetta Caris and Violet Allen; and his great grandchild Devin McClellan.
He is survived by: his daughter Judy Courter (David) of Castanea; his grandsons, Bradley (Angela), Bryan (Sandra) and Justin Courter (Stacey); his great grandchildren, Desiree Myers (Cody), Dakota, Landin, Gavyn and Cailin Courter; and his great great grandchildren, Tatum and Chael Myers.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either Faith United Methodist Church or Bald Eagle Beagle Club through the funeral home.
