She was predeceased by: her mother Laura G. Stahl; and her brother Robert Stahl. She is survived by: her husband Frank F. Getz; her son Brian D. Getz; and her granddaughters, Emily P. Getz (Kelsey M. Impink), Alyssa J. Getz and Katie Elizabeth Getz.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home (1331 Eastern Blvd N, Hagerstown, MD 21742).
Betty championed numerous causes, notably organizing the food pantry and coordinating the donation of over 1, 000 winter coats for the Children and Youth of Washington County, Maryland.
