It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jean F. Hafer of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, who passed away on July 28, 2025, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Jean leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert L. Fennell and Louise E. Fennell (Shatzer); her husband Alfred R. Hafer; her son Mark E. Hafer; and her granddaughter Erin E. Hafer.
She is survived by: her sons, Michael A. Hafer (Joy) of Chambersburg, PA and Jeffry A. Hafer (Barbara) of Lewes, DE. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
