Jean F. Hafer Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jean F. Hafer of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, who passed away on July 28, 2025, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Jean leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert L. Fennell and Louise E. Fennell (Shatzer); her husband Alfred R. Hafer; her son Mark E. Hafer; and her granddaughter Erin E. Hafer.
She is survived by: her sons, Michael A. Hafer (Joy) of Chambersburg, PA and Jeffry A. Hafer (Barbara) of Lewes, DE. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Parish Center of Corpus Christi Catholic Church (279 N 2nd St, Chambersburg, PA 17201). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
