With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joseph J. Zippay Jr. (Charleroi, Pennsylvania), who passed away on May 5, 2025 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph J. Zippay, Sr. and Helen Zippay (Hornack). He is survived by: his wife Ruth Ann Zippay (Patterson); his children, Christine Snyder (Todd), Joanne Keeler (Scott) and Daniel Zippay (Andrea); his grandchildren, Nicolas, Krissa Snyder, Kyle, Kinsler Keeler, Stella, Everett and Neva Zippay; and his sisters, Susan Haney (Chris) and Rebecca Mood (Jack). He is also survived by his numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and his dearest friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 8th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Hogan-Melenyzer Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. (226 Fallowfield Ave, Charleroi, PA 15022). A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 8th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, May 8th 2025 at the Maple Creek Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to SPHS Area Agency on Aging, 305 Chamber Plaza, Charleroi, in memory of Joe.
