He was predeceased by: his parents, Forrest Wilcox and Frances Pietrawskia Wilcox; his siblings, Edgar, Walter, Robert and Jane Scala; and his nephews, Edgar "Skipper" Wilcox, David Wilcox and David Cochrane.
He is survived by: his wife Arlene Mayers; his children, Sandra Thorpe (Wayne) and Wayne Wilcox (Anne) of Houston; his grandchildren, Lauren Roebuck (Geoffrey), Leigh Emmott (Timmothy), Courtney Pignataro (Joseph) and Robert Wilcox (Madelyn Qualls); his great grandchildren, Charlotte, Benjamin, Hudson and Ryan; and his sibling's children, Robert Cochrane, Francis Wilcox, Glendale Wilcox, Francisco Leon, Isabel Gomez and Dunia Baker.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children or the donor's favorite charity.
