He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob, Sr. Hoover and Mildred Posten Hoover; his siblings, Helen Workman, Mildred Overly, Edith Heider, William, Donald, Robert, Jacob Jr. and Jane Hoover; and his son-in-law Brian Lundy.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Shivery Hoover; and his children, George (Leisa Robinson Hoover) of Kinzers and Lori Lundy-Morrow (Matthew Morrow) of Quarryville. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Shivery Funeral Home - Christiana (111 Elizabeth St, Christiana, PA 17509). A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Dick's honor to Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Boulevard, Staten Island, NY 10306 or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
