He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth "Betty" Demis Burge; his children, James Burge (Jane), Paul A. Burge and Barbara (Mark) of Clairton; his grandchildren, Mary Trott (Jeff), Anne Burge (Jerome Ramsey) and Christianna Murray; his great grandchildren, Anthony, Jakob, Noah, Ian and Sofie; and his siblings, Adrian "Dutch", Robert, William, Esther MacNicol and Edna Lees.
