He was predeceased by : his parents, William Eugene Fekety, Sr. and Barbara Ellen Fekety (King). He is survived by : his wife Gabriele "Gabi" Fekety (Probst); his daughters, Michelle Hoffmann (Guenter) of Bleialf, Germany and Nicole Harbin (Bryan) of Charlotte; his grandchildren, Kai, Nora Hoffmann, Ayla and Hayden Harbin; his sister Donna Julian of Clairton; and also, Tabitha and Sam Ziegler. He is also survived by many In-Laws and extended family.

His family suggests donations in his name be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
