McLay of Clarksburg, Pennsylvania, born in Braddock, Pennsylvania, who passed away on February 27, 2023, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, John C. McLay and Catherine McLay (Steinbrunn); his former life partner Edna Isabel McLay (McCloskey); his sons, John Jacob McLay, Jr. and Steven Dale McLay; and his siblings, George McLay, Richard McLay, Anna McKinney and Eugene James McLay.
He is survived by : his wife Carol Ann McLay; his children, Joyce E. Sharman of Indiana, PA, Cindy McLay Simmons of Ft. Myers, FL, F. Michael McLay (JoAnn) of Clarksburg and Timothy S. McLay (Anne McCormick) of Vero Beach, FL; his stepson Mark Geveden of Indianapolis, IN; his grandchildren, Chelsea Simmons (Ryan Rivas), Sean Simmons, Lindsay Simmons (David Dozier), Sara Statkowski (Dan), John J. McLay, III (Kristy) and Katherine "Katie" Earl (Nathan); and his great grandchildren, Isabella, Clara Statkowski and John J. McLay IV. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
