He was predeceased by: his parents, Frances Edna Wilson Dorsey and Granville Arthur Dorsey; and his siblings, Charles Dorsey and Sandy Clark. He is survived by: his wife Beverly Cole Dorsey; his children, James A Dorsey, Jr., Erika Shelton (Stephen) and Andrea J. A. Dorsey (Shawn Lee); his siblings, Robert Dorsey (Ruth Ann), David Porter, Wayne Porter (Brigitte), Patricia Bladen, Barbara Jackson and Phyllis Porter Knotts (Joel); and his godsons, Davon Jackson and Terry Clark Sr.. He is also survived by grandchildren: six granddaughters, one great granddaughter.
Viewing was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the DeBaptiste Funeral Homes, Inc. (600 E Market St, West Chester, PA 19382). A burial was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at the Union Hill Cemetery (424 N Union St, Kennett Square, PA 19348).
