He is survived by: his wife Marion Nichele; his children, Michele Vitelli (Robert) and Paul Nichele (Kristy); and his granddaughter Natalie Vitelli.

Memorial contributions can be made to Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center in Buffalo, New York.
