He was predeceased by : his parents, Roy Murphy and Leta Murphy (Hilliard); and his close friend Karen Evans. He is survived by : his daughter Michelle Murphy (C. J. Nicola); his granddaughter Kahlan; and his sister Arlene Whaley. He is also survived by 4 nieces.
