He was predeceased by: his parents, Patricia Shultz Mellinger and George Mellinger Allen; his in-laws, Wayne and Thelma Gilpin; his aunts and uncles, Audrey, Cvetko Kasun, Frank Shultz, Kenneth Shultz and Arlene Shultz; and his close friend Jean Chenier.
He is survived by: his wife Catherine Gilpin Mellinger; his daughter Victoria Bush (Stephen); his grandchildren, Deacon, Bodie, Monroe and Violet; his children, Eathan Mellinger and Andrea Kirshy (Mitchell); and his stepgrandchildren, Kacee and Cohen.
