He was predeceased by: his parents, James E., Sr. and Marjorie Marietta Carlton. He is survived by: his wife Karen A. Boland Carlton; and his sisters, Marianne Spiker (Lonnie) of Nashville, TN and Linda Carlton Allen (Rodney F.) of Connellsville. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
