He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer E. Tikey and Mildred Long Tikey; his sister Gayle Bryner; and his pet Ziva. He is survived by: his wife Carol Smith Tikey; and his children, Debra Shaffer (Mark) of Connellsville, Richard "Dickie" Tikey II (Kelly), Erica Weltz (Derek) of Bedford, Shea Brooks (Shawn) of Patriot, OH and Amanda Younce (Cameron) of Cherokee, NC. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Brooks Funeral Home - Connellsville (111 E Green St, Connellsville, PA 15425). A funeral service was held on Sunday, June 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
