He was predeceased by: his brother Edward P. Tonkay Jr. of Stroudsburg, PA.. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Tonkay; his sons, Jack (Laurie Tonkay) of Three Forks and Montana; his grandsons, Alex, Alden and David (Juile Tonkay) of Saylorsburg, PA.; his great grandchildren, Gavin and Macey; and his granddaughter Macey.
Donations may be given in his honor to Monroe County Hospice, 412 East Brown St. or Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
