She was predeceased by : her husband Earl M. Brister; her parents, Mahlon H. Harris and Florence Harris (Morgan); her son David Brister; and her grandson Thomas Brister.

She is survived by : her children, Barbara Kappauf, Robert Brister and Beverly Detwiler. She is also survived by 9 Grandchildren; 9 Great-Grandchildren.
