He was predeceased by : his father Ludwig Karner; his grandparents, Helen, Edward Bodisch, Ludwig and Mary Karner; and his father-in-law Russell Eckert.
He is survived by : his spouse Robin Eckert; his mother Barbara A. Karner (Bodisch); his brother Brian L. Karner of Coplay; his mother-in-law Beverly Eckert; and his sister-in-law Kelly (John). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and his ten adored cats.
