He was predeceased by: his parents, Mildred Smith (Bracken) and William C. Smith, Sr.; his siblings, William (Nancy), Donald (Mary Lou), David Smith (Judy) and Patricia Dougherty (Edward); his adoptive parents, George Stauber and Agnes Stauber; and also, Mary Agnes O'Brien (Jack) and James Stauber (Janice).
He is survived by: his wife Florence Stauber; his children, Mark Stauber (Johonna), Jeffrey Stauber (Michelle), Mona Cornelia (Bob), Donna Fetchet (John), Gregg Stauber (Sharon), Zita Billmann (Chris), Zoe Flaherty (William) and Michael Stauber (Miranda); his sister Helen Burnham (James) of Pittsburgh, PA.; his grandchildren, Eric Stauber, Ryan Stauber (Beth), Brad Stauber, Sherri Cohn (Brandon), Brayden Stauber, Riley Stauber, Krista Moik (Warren), Dean Cornelia, Nicholas Cornelia, Michael Fetchet, Grant Fetchet (Morgan), Mikayla Fetchet, Graham Stauber, Brendan Stauber, Grace Billmann, Ava Billmann, Liam Flaherty, Declan Flaherty and Mikayla Stauber; his great grandchildren, Christian, Ryland, Benjamin, Rhys Moik, Nellie, Emelynn, Samuel and Mollie Cohn; his stepgrandchildren, Joey, Davey (Amanda), Preston and Dylan; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Kira and Liz Moik. He is also survived by many loving relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 5th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, August 6th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Devlin Funeral Home of Cranberry Township (2678 Rochester Rd, Cranberry Twp, PA 16066). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Ferdinand Catholic Church (2535 Rochester Rd, Cranberry Twp, PA 16066).
