She was predeceased by: her parents, Israel Pete and Goldie Yount (Blystone); her husband Robert E. Newsom, Jr.; her children, Eugene Newsom, Charold Silvis, Robin Gillespie and Brenda Bash; her grandsons, Charles "Budzy" Gillespie, D. J. Erdley and Robert Eugene Newsom, Jr.; and her siblings, Vernon Yount, Dewayne Yount, Charles Schrecengost, Ronald Yount, Gerald Yount, Joann Sigley and Geneva Sigley.
She is survived by: her daughters, Darlene Rupert (Larry) of Elderton and Roberta Spencer (Johnny) of Creekside; and her siblings, Ivan Yount (Alyson) of Shelocta, Roseline Smeltzer of Elderton and Donna Bash of Kittanning. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 24th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Clark Chapel of Bauer Funeral Home, Inc. (238 S Main St, Elderton, PA 16023). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 24th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
