With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mary Elizabeth (Harned) Chappell of Dallas, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 8, 2025 at the age of 81. She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernard B. Harned and Helen Harned (Elliott); her husband Walter R. Chappell; her brother John Elliot Harned (Janet Detrick Harned); and her stepdaughter Mary Louise King.
She is survived by: her sons, Mark Chappell (Tracey), Dallas and Jay Chappell (Seana); her sister-in-law Connie McClure; and her daughter-in-law Tracey. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc. (20 S Main St, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18705). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Funeral Home Corcoran Funeral Home (20 S Main St, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18705).
