It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Melvin Franicola of Darragh, Pennsylvania, born in Herminie, Pennsylvania, who passed away on February 11, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Franicola and Janet McAlpin Franicola; his wife Carol J. Cicci Franicola; his siblings, John Franicola, June Rose Campbell and Elizabeth Kober; and his siblings-in-law, Rose Franicola, Eugene Campbell and Thomas Kirker.
He is survived by: his children, Guy Franicola (Barb) of Darragh, Carey Franicola and Darcy Franicola of Darragh; his grandchildren, Joshua and Emily Franicola; his brother Louis Kober of Bonita Springs, Fla.; and his sister-in-law Patricia Kirker of Greensburg. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In compliance with the CDC covid-19 guidelines, only 20 people will be permitted at one time into the funeral home. Masks are required to be worn at all times while in the funeral home and social distancing is required.
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations to be made to Downtown United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 86, Madison, PA 15663.
