She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Vincent Stanko and Anna Stanko (Urbanick); her husband Dr. Henry Yavorek; her children, Dr. Henry Yavorek Jr. (Cris Dantonio) of Dornsife, PA, Dr. George Yavorek (Valerie) of Guilford, CT, Dr. Amy Yavorek of Highland Falls, NY, Dr. Vincent Yavorek (Kim) of Canandaigua, NY and Dr. Trudy Yavorek Kobylski (CO); and her grandchildren, Dr. Katy Yavorek Esquer (Cisco), Dr. Abby Yavorek (Jon Wyble), Jillian Yavorek, Michael Yavorek, Treviana Yavorek (James Curran), Talia Yavorek, Samantha Yavorek, Amanda Fumerelle (CP), Joseph Fumerelle, Vincent Yavorek (Alla Yugay), Olivia Romanello (Domenic Romanello), Lauren Kobylski and Emily Kobylski.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 22nd 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Frank T Mazur Funeral Home (601 Dundaff St, Dickson City, PA 18519). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 22nd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, September 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at 1090 Carmalt St, Dickson City, PA 18519.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Gertrude's memory to organizations that support women's rights, the SPCA, or a local dog rescue.
