With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jean S. Weigle of Dillsburg, Pennsylvania, born in York Springs, Pennsylvania, who passed away on December 20, 2023 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, George A. Spertzel and Blanche Spertzel (Davis); and her siblings, Ira Spertzel, Clair Spertzel, Lloyd Spertzel, Robert Spertzel, Richard Spertzel, Catherine Cole and Romaine Trimmer.

She is survived by : her husband Ronald G. Weigle Sr. of Dillsburg; her children, Barbara E. Weigle of Etters Pa, Melissa A. Stanley (Craig) of Junction, TX and Ronald G. Weigle Jr. (Patricia) of York Springs; her grandsons, Shaun, Justin and Grayson; her great grandchild Haylee; and her brother Luther Spertzel of Florida.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the York Springs Global Methodist Church.

Margaret Shaffer wrote a sympathy message

“Ron and Family, I want to send my love and prayers to all of you following the passing of your loved one Jean. Jean and I were friends when we attended school together and played in the band and basketball together. That seems like such a short time ago and we have to wonder how we got to be 86 years old. They were fun times. I send my love and sympathy to all of you and pray that God's love and comfort will surround each of you and give you peace. Marg (Miller) Shaffer”
