Words of sympathy

Edward Vanover wrote a sympathy message

“John ("Jack", to many of us), was the epitome of what many young sportsmen want to be when they 'grow up'. He was helpful, had an depth of knowledge most wish they could attain of fly fishing, hunting, and willingly and cheerfully shared it with all who took the time to get to know him. His work to classify and educate fly tiers on the insects so important to them, providing hatch charts and extensive patterns to "match what the trout see" was epic. I felt honored to call him "friend".”
