With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Catherine E. Barnes (Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania), born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, who passed away on June 25, 2018 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parent Elwood Simpson; and her sister Mary Distefano. She is survived by: her parent Edna Simpson; her husband Richard T. Barnes, Sr.; her children, Richard Barnes, Jr. (Beth) of Aston, Christine Gabe (Robert) of Downingtown and Joanne DeLia (Johnny) of Bryn Mawr; her grandchildren, Bobby Gabe and Conner Gabe; and her siblings, Robert Simpson (Marianna), Betty Lou Seitz (Jack) and Laura Garawski.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to Bryn Mawr Hospital Foundation-Hospice, 130 S. Bryn Mawr Avenue, Bryn Mawr, PA 19010 would be appreciated by the family.
