He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph L. Hackenberg and Beulah Hackenberg (Keim); and his sisters, Shirley Norman and Nona Gemi. He is survived by: his wife Lucy J. Hackenberg (North); his children, Thomas R. Hackenberg (Christine) of Richmond, Jeffrey A. Hackenberg (Andrea Marie) of Bellefonte and Debra J. Speece (Ryan) of Altoona; and his sister Barbara Spatz of Reading. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren.
