It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joyce Markel of Duncansville, Pennsylvania, born in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, who passed away on October 27, 2021, at the age of 56, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her niece Alia. She is survived by: her parents, David Long Sr. and Donna Thurston (Long); her husband William L. Markel of Duncansville; her siblings, Renee Gray (Donald) of Bedford and David Long Jr. (Michelle) of Virginia Beach; her niece Krysden; her great-niece Jocelyn; and her great-nephews, Ronnie and Oliver. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
