John A Salamone Obituary
John A. Salamone (Sal) age 90, of Eagleville, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, May 15, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Norristown on October 29, 1934, John was the beloved son of the late Anthony and Josephine (Venezia) Salamone.
A proud patriot, John honorably served in the United States Air Force as a jet mechanic during the Korean War.
A hardworking and respected figure in his community, John owned and operated JAS Concrete, building a reputation for excellence and integrity in the concrete industry; known to many for his memorable tagline, " Don't Pour Your Own – Call Salamone".
Beyond the work itself, John was a mentor, role model, and the foundation of four generations of family concrete contractors.
Through his leadership, he not only taught the trade but instilled in his sons and grandsons the values of commitment, craftsmanship, and pride in a job well done.
Even after retiring John seldom sat still. He remained active within the family businesss' offering guidance, lending a hand, and continued to "pour" his heart into all the things he appreciated most.
John had a lifelong admiration for horses, a joy that stayed with him through the years. He also enjoyed gardening, giving the same attention to it, he gave to everything and everyone he cared for in his life.
John was a master storyteller with an unforgettable sense of humor.
Whether on a job site, or at a family gathering, he'd spin tales that always left everyone laughing, and a bit wiser.
John is survived by his devoted wife, Sandra Salamone; and his sister Marie Meoli of Las Vegas, Nevada.
His sons Anthony (wife Susan) Salamone of Pottstown Pa. John (wife Michelle) Salamone of North Coventry, Pa., and daughter Karla (husband Anthony) Salamone-Peluso of Bloomsbury, NJ.
His Grandchildren: Noelle, Nicholas, Anthony, Matthew, and Chaslyn; and ten cherished great-grandchildren: Gianna, AJ, Julianna, Gabriella, Luca, Anthony, Matthew, Grady, Cooper, Richie Rose, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his sister Roseann Salamone Tucci.
John's legacy is one of strength, dedication, and deep-rooted family pride. A true builder in every sense of the word.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the Salamone family on Wednesday, May 28, from 4:30 to 6:00 PM at the Volpe Funeral Home, 707 W. Germantown Pike at Whitehall Road, East Norriton. A prayer service will follow at 6:00 PM. Burial will be private.
