She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Slagell and Katherine Slagell (Bontrager); her sister Judy Kathleen Slagell; and her former husband Luther Heckel. She is survived by: her husband Ralph Crites; her daughter Michelle Grimm; her stepson Jeffrey Charles Kuhn; her grandchildren, Noah Grimm and Hannah McKonly; and her siblings, Glenn Slagell, Frank Slagell and Lee Slagell.
