She was predeceased by: her husband Ernest J. Caretta; her parents, Frank Lane and Mary Lane; her son Thomas Caretta; and her sister Verna Overpeck.
She is survived by: her son Randy Caretta (Dianne) of Kunkletown; her grandchildren, Kyle Caretta of East Hanover, NJ and Taylor Caretta of Effort; her great grandchild Dakota Caretta; and her brother John Lane (Connie) of Catasauqua. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the William H. Clark Funeral Home (1003 Main St, Stroudsburg, PA 18360). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Being that Edith was a long-time supporter of local animal rescue organizations, the family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances be made to AWSOM (Animal Welfare Society of Monroe), P.O. Box 13, Stroudsburg, PA 18360.
