It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joseph L. Filipek of East Vandergrift, Pennsylvania, who passed away on November 2, 2021, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John J. Filipek and Catherine Filipek (Homicak); and his siblings, John S. Filipek, Stephen Filipek, Katherine Filipek and Mary Tabacek.

He is survived by: his sisters, Anne Luczak of Vandergrift, Theresa Weber (Robert) of Hermitage and Veronica Skrocki of Garfield Heights, Ohio; and his sister-in-law Joan Filipek of North Apollo. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Joe's memory to Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 400 Kennedy Ave., East Vandergrift, PA 15629.
