He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Tatar and Erma Tatar (Buda); and his siblings, Frank, Louis, Erma, Barbara, Irene, Anna, Margaret and Betty.
He is survived by: his sons, James Tatar of Coal Twp, Steven Tatar (Marcie) of East Vandergrift, Dennis Tatar (Susan) of North Umberland and David Tatar (Tina) of Monroeville; and his sister Florence Anuskiewicz of New Kensington. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
