He was predeceased by: his parent Otis Yellock; and his siblings, Henry, Jimmy, Desmond, Alonzo, Dealie, Carrie and Gloria Hairston.

He is survived by: his parent Mollie Wilkerson; his children, Janie Forney, Walter, Mamie, Betty, Robert Sr, Robbin Sr and David Yellock Sr; and his siblings, Clara Elliott, Joann Fulp, Meegie Wheat, Johnnie Yellock and Samuel Hairston. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and a host or relatives and friends.
