It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Eugene R. Hess Jr. of Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania, born in Hershey, Pennsylvania, who passed away on July 16, 2023, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Sr. Hess and Leota Hess (Kapp); his spouse Russella V. Hess (Markley); and his brother David Hess. He is survived by: his children, Angela Rhodes of Lancaster, Kelly Edye (Gene) of Mount Joy, Eugene Hess III of Elizabethtown and James Hess of Elizabethtown; and his sisters, Mary Jane Watts of Elizabethtown and Joann Barrelle of Maytown. He is also survived by five grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 4250 Crums Mill Rd, Harrisburg, PA 17112.
