It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John R. Fosnot of Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania, born in Chester, Pennsylvania, who passed away on September 27, 2024, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy John leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though John may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Fosnot and Sadie Fosnot; and his brother Gary Thorsen. He is survived by: his wife Peggy (Heigel); his sons, John Fosnot (Pamela Lechner) of Marietta and James Fosnot (Holly) of Lewisburg; his grandchildren, Abby and John Eric Fosnot; and his stepgrandchildren, Addison Klock, Chloe Kauffman, Dylan and Ashley Lechner.

“Peggy, John and Jim- I’m so sorry to hear of John’s passing. He was a very dear and close friend to me and my family. He will be forever remembered for all his contributions to the boys club and I was so glad to see the ball field dedicated to him. He has definitely made his mark in Elizabethtown athletics and impacted so many kids throughout these many years. He is one in a million and will be missed. Jerry and Kim Walker.”
