He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Mullen and Lenore Davis Mullen; and his brothers, Donald and Brent Mullen. He is survived by: his son Hamot; his wife Mary Jane Dittman Mullen; his sons, Dennis E. Mullen (Mary) of Nickleville and John D. Dittman of Nickleville; his grandson James Mullen; and his siblings, Kenneth Mullen (Marian) of Emlenton, Gary Mullen (Charlene) of Seneca and Janet Stephens (Lloyd) of Cranberry. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
