He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph J. Penica and Elizabeth J. Penica (Weiss). He is survived by: his wife Heather G. Penica (McKay); his son John R. Penica (Wendy) of Middletown; his siblings, Joseph V. Penica of Linglestown, Rosalie M. Kieffer (Ken) of York, Loretta J. Myer (Grant) of Coatesville, PA and Dolores Cook (Gary) of Liverpool, PA; and his grandchildren, Jay G. Penica (Dyana), Brent M. Penica (Katie), Brian J. Penica (Katie), Joshua A. Anderson (Mary), Kristen Wendle (Ethan), Sarah Romine (Micah), Karen Priego (Armando), Heidi Ranpaheli (JB) and Yvonne McKenzie (Ben). He is also survived by 22 great-grandchildren, several cousins, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Wiedeman Funeral Home & Cremation Services (357 S Harrisburg St, Oberlin, PA 17113). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
