He was predeceased by: his parents, Gaetano Amendola and Concetta Amendola (Capello); his son Robert Amendola; and his siblings, Lena Paris, Albert and Edward Amendola.

He is survived by: his wife Margaret Amendola (Ripper); his sons, Thomas Amendola (Kimberly) of Naples, FL, Mark Amendola (Amy) of Mountain Top, PA, James Amendola (Christine) of Odessa, FL and Richard Amendola of Erie; and his grandchildren, Elizabeth, Tommy, Julia, Dr. Emily, Dr. Stephanie, Ainsley and Madelyn. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
