She was predeceased by : her parents, George Emery and Mary "Edith" Hill Emery; her former life partner Carl Robert "Bob" Imler; her husband Ronald Simmons; her siblings, George Emery, William Thompson, Jessie Thompson Cleary and Grace Perkins; her son-in-law David Moen; and her grandson Kevin Imler.
She is survived by : her children, Shirley Maxumczyk (John) of Erie, Edith Vitti (Lou) of Gibsonia, PA, Robert Imler (Norma) of Oil City and Richard Imler (Linda) of Erie; and her grandchildren, Carla Spadacene (Chris), Lisa Harden (Jeff), Robert Imler (Jill), Theresa Imler, Dan Maxumczyk (Stephanie), Michelle Zaffino (Jerry), Richard Imler (Melissa), Cheryl Lemanski (Gary), Jay Imler (Helen), Brian Imler, Matthew Imler, Jennifer Podell (Brett), Sarah Shirley (Jamey) and Al Moen. She is also survived by 27 great grandchildren; her first great, great granddaughter.
