He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd D. Burns and Viola G. Smalley Burns; his grandson Nikolas Burns; his siblings, Carol Nather (Richard), Francis, Gerald (Kathy) and Richard; his sister-in-law Mary Burns; his former wife Linda Sullivan; and his pet Chloe.
He is survived by: his daughters, Lisa Amnotte (Rodney) of Colorado Springs, CO, Tracy Hecker (Michael) of Carlisle, PA, Stephanie Witkowski (Phillip) of Erie, Jennifer Villarreal (Armando) of Erie and Toni Burns; his grandchildren, Rachael, Nathan, Brandon, Noah, Camilo, Emma, Jonah, Avery, Nathaniel and Charlee; his siblings, Judy Salsbury (Harold "Kip"), Kathleen Fetzner (Mike), Larry Burns and Kenneth Burns (Patrice); and his daughter Susan DeCarolis.
