He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Uplinger and Elizabeth Uplinger (Frazier); and his siblings, Merle, Ralph, John, Marie and Sarah.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret Uplinger (Rydzewski); his uncle Sam; his aunt Nora Irwin; his cousin Dorothy Wilson (Irwin); his sons, Dale of Erie, Steve (Darlene) of Erie, Terry (Lori) of Erie and Daniel Uplinger (Jennifer) of Erie; his grandchildren, Steven II (Jackie), Kyle (Meghan), Mike (Amy), Jeff (Katie), Ashley (Tim), Courtney, Jacob, Cillian and Madison; and his great grandchildren, Paige, Justin, Ryan, Riley, Thea and Liviana.
