George H. Althof Obituary
In loving memory of George H. Althof of Erie, Pennsylvania, who departed this world on October 6, 2025 at the age of 98. George leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Althof and Gertrude Althof (Tate); his wife Betty Althof (Peyton); and his siblings, William Althof, Vivian Williams, Charlotte Cunningham and Geraldine Rusterholtz.
He is survived by: his sons, Edward Althof (Kathleen) and Roger Althof (Susie); and his grandchildren, Emily Robertson (Andy), Ben Althof (Tiffany), Eric Althof (Ashley) and Sara Monziel (Steve). He is also survived by ten great grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory - West 38th (1595 W 38th St, Erie, PA 16508). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shriner's Hospital for Children, 1645 West 8th St., Erie, PA 16505.
