He was predeceased by : his parents, Raymond Scharrer and Dorothy Scharrer (Brinkley); and his sister Barbara Heinze. He is survived by : his wife Barbara J. Scharrer (Kobylinski); his children, Janet Scharrer and Jim Scharrer (Jennifer) of Pittsburgh; his granddaughters, Rachel and Lauren Scharrer; his siblings, Edward Scharrer (Carol) of Geneva, NY, Henry Scharrer (Bonnie) of Erie, Charles Scharrer (Johanna) of Erie and Mary Summerson (Dart) of Sugar Grove; and his brother-in-law Richard Heinze of Cary, NC. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
