With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Janis Root Hrutkay of Erie, Pennsylvania, who passed away on February 17, 2022 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Rosa Root and Harold Root. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers and in honor of Jan's life, donations may be made to the EveryLife Foundation for Rare Diseases or Spastic Paraplegia Foundation.
