He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Kuhar and Mary Fantaskey Kuhar; and his brother Edward H. Kuhar. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Pfeufer Kuhar; his children, Michelle Shopene (Robert), Mark Kuhar (Pamela), Tricia McCormick (James) and Matthew Kuhar (Justin Lehmiller); his grandchildren, Rachel Mauro (Michael), Emily Shopene, David, Jennifer, Elizabeth, Katie Kuhar, Moira (Franz), Clara and Mick McCormick; and his sister-in-law Mary Kuhar-Rinke.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Calendar Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Services West Ridge (3801 W 26th St, Erie, PA 16506). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of Peace (2401 W 38th St, Erie, PA 16506).
