It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Ater of Erie, Pennsylvania, who passed away on May 11, 2021, at the age of 41, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ater Ater and Yar Bol. He is survived by: his wife Ashley Jordan-Ater; his children, Demarion Ater, Ayeitda Ater of Erie and Sudana Ater of Erie; his siblings, Mangar Ater of Sudan, Ayeitda Ater of Sudan, Cholhok Ater (Achol) of Sudan and Ajak Ater of Sudan; and his cousin Chimuth Bai Nak of Omaha, NE. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Following all current Covid-19 guidelines, visitation will be on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at Edward J. Garr Funeral Home, 459 E. 12th St. Erie, Pa 16503 from 11:00 am until the time of the service at 1:00 pm.
