It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mildred Modzelewski of Erie, Pennsylvania, born in Dunkirk, New York, who passed away on April 13, 2021, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Tarnowski and Agnes Tarnowski (Witkowski); her husband Stanley J. Modzelewski; her siblings, Conrad Tarnowski, Alphonse Tarnowski, Edward Tarnowski, Raymond Tarnowski, Chester Tarnowski and Jane Tarnowski; and her grandson Justin Anderson.
She is survived by: her daughter Gail Anderson of Holly Springs, NC; her brother Jerome Tarnowski (Betty) of Dunkirk, NY; and her granddaughters, Megan Hysom, Kelly Anderson and Erin Caudill. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Following all current Covid-19 guidelines, visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at St. Stanislaus Church, 516 E. 13th St. Erie, PA 16503 from 9:00 am until the time of the Mass at 10:00 am.
