He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard S. "Dick" and Anna M. Scarpino (Nicolia); his uncle John Nicolia Sr.; his godfather John DiSanti; and his father-in-law James Gaber.
He is survived by: his wife Jennifer Scarpino (Gaber); his son Zackery Scarpino; his siblings, Richard Scarpino and Mary Weatherby (Timothy); his godsons, Adam Scarpino and Maxwell Weatherby; his siblings' children, Eric Scarpino and Lynn Weatherby; his mother-in-law Marilyn Gaber; his aunt Janet Nicolia; and his godmother Mary Menditto.
